Last night I had really crappy night sleep. I was up at 4 am and up for an hour. So much for the cherry apothe. I'm thinking I won't take it tonight and see if sleep improves. Getting out of bed in the morning was a real chore. Let me say that again A. Real. Chore! Once I'm up and going I feel fine but actually getting up is very difficult.
Today I wasn't hungry but I was very congested which I'm chalking up to allergies.
Flex foods I ate today were 1 apple, 2 walnuts, 8oz kombucha, 6 olives and 1 tbs of raw, local honey with cinnamon sprinkled on top.
I reread the info from Purium and it said that addictions to salt and sugar will be eliminated by this cleanse. Oops. I've been sneaking salt into my diet by eating olives and sprinkling salt on the nuts I'm eating. I've removed my desire for meat. I have never had much of a sweet tooth so I don't really have a problem there but salt really is my problem. Tomorrow I will make an effort to not eat any salt at all.No cherry apothe tonight. I want to see if I get a better night sleep.
Day 6

It was still really difficult to get out of bed. But I did sleep through the night. I also had the worst headache today. I think it's salt withdrawal.This day really sucked. The migraine pretty much benched me all day. The good news is that I have identified my real problem (salt) and am working on eliminating it.
Today I was starving at 1:30. This was the first day of this cleanse that I actually felt really hungry. I wonder if it is the detoxing from salt that brought it on.
Flex foods I ate today were 2 apples, cucumber with no salt seasoning, and I broke down at 6:30 pm and ate 20 pistachios because my migraine was so intense I was hoping to cure it with a taste of salt.
Then I went to bed. No cherry apothe tonight.
Day 7

It was really difficult to get out of bed. But I actually slept through the night, which is good.
Still had the migraine until noonish then it went away. I went out to lunch with friends. I brought along an apple and watched them eat hamburgers, fries and ice cream. I ate my apple and honestly the food they were eating did not look good. Well, the fries did but all I really wanted to do with the fries was suck the salt off.
That was a successful challenge, watching people eat food I like and not really feeling deprived or wishing I could eat it. This cleanse really is changing my perception of food.

I'm not taking the apothe tonight either. Maybe I have a sensitivity to it or something. I will try it tomorrow and give it another chance.
